Now and forever! Proseal showcases complete support

Foodex Preview, Proseal, Hall 20 Stand N210

The ability of tray sealing specialist Proseal both to provide continual customer support throughout the lifetime of its equipment to maximise performance and efficiency, and to help customers meet ever-changing packaging trends, will be a key theme of the company’s participation at this year’s Foodex.

Proseal will demonstrate a number of specially developed technologies for the further enhancements of speed and quality in its tray sealers’ operation, and the provision of valuable production data, including the launch of two new systems. In addition, the two models on display from its extensive tray sealer range – the automatic in-line Proseal GT1e and semi-automatic Proseal TTe – will showcase their capability to perform any style of heat seal to a pre-formed tray, and to handle the latest alternatives to plastic, including trays from Halopack® and Huhtamaki®

The latest technologies from Proseal to support the continuing operation of its equipment underline the company’s commitment to help customers achieve and maintain Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Making their debut at Foodex will be ProVision™, an advanced automated platform that captures and analyses important machine data to improve the efficiency and performance of the entire production line, and ProPosition™, a revolutionary new tray positioning system for faster and easier machine set up.

Also being demonstrated will be Proseal’s ProTect™ security system that meets retailer quality and safety requirements by preventing unauthorised access to equipment and providing comprehensive audit data. This range of technology is complimented by the unique ProTest™ seal quality testing system that enables food manufacturers and processors to determine the ideal seal and peel strength for individual products.

Both the Proseal GT1e and TTe offer users effective future proofing.  As well as their ability to handle all types of heat sealing, these various options can be added or removed as required.  This provides the flexibility for customers to easily deal with changing packaging trends.

Similarly, both machines are capable of sealing the latest alternative materials to plastic.  These include Halopack®, the first fully hermetic cardboard MAP packaging, and Huhtamaki Fresh®, a fibre-based ready meal tray that is both oven and microwave safe.

The GT1e delivers fast packing speeds within a compact footprint, enabling it to integrate easily into existing lines or fit into factory areas where space is at a premium.  It can seal up to 100 atmospheric and 60 vacuum gas packs per minute on a five-impression tool.

The TTe is a small, compact, and robust tray sealer ideal for low-volume production and production trials, capable of sealing up to 10 vacuum/gas packs per minute on a 2-impression tool. It is ideal for customers who frequently switch between pack types, and who require a tray sealing machine with a very small footprint.

Both machines incorporate Proseal’s advanced E-seal® technology that produces an increased seal force of 200% while achieving a 92% reduction in energy usage. This delivers valuable cost and sustainability benefits to food processors and ensures the excellent seal reliability that meets the stringent quality requirements of the food retail sector. The system also improves MAP processes through accurate gas flush positioning and reducing gas flush cycle times, making it extremely efficient as well as enhancing shelf-life extension to further minimise food waste.
