Code of Conduct
All staff members of the Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine teams should be treated with respect and dignity. Any work completed by our staff will be in a civilised manner complying with all active working laws and regulations. Behaviour of advertisers or customers that is deemed offensive or inappropriate will be reported to the senior members of Ryan Leon Media Ltd and will be overseen by legal authority if necessary. The staff members within Ryan Leon Media Ltd will not tolerate abuse or discrimination in any form and reserve the right to refuse any contact with individuals if necessary. We expect all associates of Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine to operate under the same rules and regulations.
Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine may employ third party photographers or videographers if deemed necessary. Anyone employed by Ryan Leon Media Ltd will be briefed on how we conduct ourselves as a company. However, Ryan Leon Media Ltd is not responsible for the actions or behaviour of third party companies. This information will be passed across to all parties involved to ensure everyone is aware. Anyone working under the Ryan Leon Media Ltd company name or working with us must remain professional at all times. All models and actors involved with any content created within a photo/film shoot must be over the age of 18 and sign a release form for the content to be used across any marketing platform owned by Ryan Leon Media Ltd or Worldwide Engineering Magazine. All content captured must be compliant with the active laws and regulations in place. Models and actors must be in a clear mind state when signing a release form and must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If clothing changes are needed a private space must be organised prior to the shoot day to ensure any models or actors have the privacy desired. We would advise that models or actors should always be accompanied by an acquaintance or additional person to ensure they feel comfortable with any photo/video shoots. Ryan Leon Media Ltd is a privately-owned company that publishes Worldwide Engineering Magazine and other publications around the world but predominantly within the UK. Ryan Leon Media Ltd is the parent company of Worldwide Engineering Magazine. Worldwide Engineering Magazine promotes the latest stories, news and events within the engineering sectors. We will work alongside global companies to ensure our associates have an appropriate platform to market and advertise from.

Advertising Terms and Conditions
An ‘Advertiser’ is the person or company who reserves, purchases or books an advertising position, space or package. An advertiser is not limited to an agency, company, brand owner or company director - the ‘Advertiser’ will be liable for any fees or responsibilities linked with any purchases, reservations or bookings agreed unless alternative arrangements are agreed with a member of the Worldwide Engineering Magazine or Ryan Leon Media Ltd teams in writing. Bookings and reservations will be made via phone line, in person, or over email. All calls are recorded for training, quality and proof of purchase purposes. Emails are also logged to ensure there is clarity when an advertiser secures an advertising opportunity.
Ryan Leon Media Ltd is the parent company of Worldwide Engineering Magazine, others magazines may also operate with Ryan Leon Media Ltd as the parent company. Worldwide Engineering Magazine employees will gather ‘Advertising Copy’ via associates which is the promotional content that the advertiser wishes to publish across multiple marketing platforms. ‘Publication’ is the term used to describe the magazine in both digital and printed format. Digital versions can be accessed via handheld devices or desktop computers. Printed issues are available to purchase via subscription on the Worldwide Engineering Magazine website.
Any bookings, reservations or purchases will be confirmed in writing (this will likely be confirmed electronically via email) but posted confirmations can be sent if requested. Bookings and reservations can be made over the phone, however, please be aware all calls are recorded. A copy deadline and a closure date will be discussed when any bookings are made to ensure Advertising Copy arrives on time.
A ‘Rate Card’ is included within our Media Pack which can be referred to when bookings are made. The advertiser must be aware that prices on the rate card will be exclusive of VAT and each price is subject to change. This applies to any purchases or reservations made through Ryan Leon Media Ltd, Worldwide Engineering Magazine or any other associated marketing platforms or magazines. If any additional requests or services are agreed during negotiations which have additional fees attached - this will be the responsibility of the advertiser who booked the additional services to complete payment. If the individual who booked/reserved the marketing opportunity is unable to complete payment - an alternative agreement will need to be in place prior to the deal being made and a member of the Worldwide Engineering Magazine team must be made aware. The entire payment for all services supplied will need to be paid on an agreed date or within 30 days of reservation (whichever comes first).
Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine reserves the right to use any promotional content we create across any print or digital platforms linked with the company. Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine will retain all rights and copyright to publish the content either created or supplied by the advertiser involved in each specific agreement. Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine will have the freedom to publish any of the content supplied to us by an advertiser unless stated otherwise. An alternative agreement can be put together for content supplied to us if necessary but a member of the team must be aware of this agreement prior to the content being sent over. Alternative agreements will need to be put forward in writing (letter or electronically) and negotiated with a member of the team ideally before confirmation of any marketing opportunities.
Advertising content supplied by an advertiser must be compliant with all active advertising laws and regulations. Any content or copy supplied that is not compliant or is any of the following; misleading, containing false facts, discriminating or hateful will be rejected by Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine. It is the advertiser’s duty to ensure all content produced is compliant before supplying the content to any team within Ryan Leon Media Ltd to be promoted. We reserve the right to remove any content that is deemed to be non-compliant. When using any Ryan Leon Media Ltd’s advertising services the advertiser is aware they will not receive a refund if content is removed due to not being compliant with advertising laws and regulations.
Any reservations, bookings or purchases of any advertising space must be dealt with on an individual basis. An agreement must be created on a case by case basis between a member of the appropriate team and the advertiser. The rate card is available to potential advertisers as a guide for Worldwide Engineering Magazine or any other magazines working under the company name Ryan Leon Media Ltd charge for advertising opportunities. These prices are not fixed and may be liable to increase or decrease if a senior member of the team deems appropriate.
The advertiser will understand that cancellations will incur costs and positions cannot be replaced on short notice. It is the advertisers responsibility to notify the appropriate team within seven days of receipt of the written agreement to ensure all contact and payment information is correct. Payment details need to be correct for us to supply the service purchased and process payment. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to request a proof before content is published if they deem it necessary and this must be done a minimum of two working weeks before publishing date. Advertising positions are to be agreed with by a member of the Ryan Leon Media Ltd or Worldwide Engineering Magazine team. Any request for exact positions must be agreed in writing prior to finalising an agreement.
Any content supplied must be in the correct formats specified when an advertiser agrees a reservation with a member of the team. Editorial content will need to be in PDF format and images must be high resolution - images may be sent across in various file formats. Ryan Leon Media Ltd or any magazines operating under the company name reserves the right to reject artwork or content supplied by an advertiser if it does not meet the high standard required. Purchasing, reserving or booking any advertising opportunities from Ryan Leon Media Ltd or Worldwide Engineering Magazine will mean the advertiser fully understands the responsibilities they have in order to receive the requested service. Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine accepts no responsibility for any consequences following the promotion of an advertiser. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to ensure everything supplied is compliant to any laws or regulations it needs to be compliant with. It is the advertisers duty to be informed of the laws and regulations they need to be compliant with when promoting themselves via any print or digital marketing platforms.
If a returning advertiser provides new content that is not up to the correct standard and the issues are not rectified within a time frame provided - the publication may re-publish previous valid content that has been supplied. The advertiser will still be charged in this circumstance as the space has been reserved by the advertiser. In unforeseen or exceptional circumstances a member of the team may grant an extension on the booking for the advertiser to feature in an alternative issue. Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine is under no obligation to review, amend or re-draft any content supplied by an advertiser. Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine are not obligated to make any changes to content that has been supplied once it has been published. In certain circumstances a member of the team may amend content if it is deemed absolutely necessary.
Any content supplied by an advertiser may feature across all print and digital platforms - this will be discussed and negotiated on an individual basis via a member of the Ryan Leon Media Ltd or Worldwide Engineering Magazine teams. The advertiser is aware that for subscribers or users to access or view any digital publications or features promoting the advertiser - subscribers and users will need access to the internet via WiFi or Mobile Data.
Content supplied by an advertiser is supplied at the owners risk - Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine holds no responsibility for the content supplied.
Payment shall be made within 30 days of the agreement. The agreement will be active once the reservation is agreed with either a booking form or an invoice being sent. If payment is not made in full within the standard time frame of 30 days or an agreed alternative time frame then interest will be added to the total amount due. 10% interest will be added per week on any payments that are late and legal action will be taken if the full payment is not made within an additional 30 days. This confirms that payments must be made within 30 days of the agreement or up to 60 days (with a 10% interest rate added per week) before legal action is taken.
The advertiser accepts that the content they wish to promote shall NOT be derogatory, racist, sexist or disrespectful to any race, religion or culture. The advertiser accepts that all content should be compliant to the British Code of Advertising Practise, Financial Laws & Regulations, Data Protection Laws and any other marketing laws that may be relevant within the appropriate country the content is being published within. The advertiser understands they will not breach any contract or violate any copyright, trademark or content rights within the content they wish to promote.
Ryan Leon Media Ltd and Worldwide Engineering Magazine holds the rights to reject any advertisers the company feels may not be relevant or beneficial to the company. This rule stands at all times regardless as to whether the advertiser has previously purchased through the company or not.
