Pneumatic Conveying Short Courses for the Bulk Solids Handling Industry

During the coming months, emphasis is given to the subject of pneumatic conveying through courses delivered by experts at the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, at the University of Greenwich, offering delegates the opportunity to meet, network and use/see demonstrations of equipment in the on-site pilot plant.

The leading place for training in powders, bulk solids and particulate materials

To cope with the different aspects of issues encountered when pneumatically conveying bulk solid materials around the plant, a series of courses has been designed, ranging from an overview of the subject for the new engineer to a detailed look at system design for those involved with making the calculations for new plant. A ‘hands-on’ practical course has also been designed to help those involved with commissioning equipment.

Rotary Valves; Design, Selection and Operational Issues: An exploration of the different valves and features available. 29 – 30 September (On-line)

Pneumatic Conveying System Design: In depth exploration of detailed calculations for design of pneumatic pipelines and specifying plant (Advanced course) 27 – 28 October (On campus)  

Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials: Including optional practical session on Day 3 - components of pneumatic conveying systems, system selection and design techniques 9 – 11 November (on campus)

Commissioning and Troubleshooting ‘Hand’s-on’ Pneumatic Conveying Systems: A look at the practical challenges of starting up systems on site and making sure they work as the designer intended 8 – 9 December (On campus)

Courses are all written for industrial engineers who handle bulk materials daily using pneumatic conveying equipment. The different levels are aimed to suit the varying abilities and experience of attendees.
